How to cook rice for rolls and sushi in a slow cooker

The popularity of sushi and rolls continues to grow; many of us have been making them ourselves at home for a long time. Rice is the main ingredient that needs to be properly cooked and prepared, because the taste of sushi and rolls depends on it, as well as how easy it will be to prepare them. I’ll tell you how to properly cook sushi rice in a slow cooker in this recipe.

Previously, I posted a recipe for preparing sushi rice in the usual way, but now I suggest doing it in a slow cooker. This is very convenient, because… there is no need to control the intensity of the fire or time the time – the multicooker will do everything itself, you just need to set the desired mode. Of course, you can always use the sushi delivery service and not bother at all. If you are new to this business, then it may probably seem that preparing sushi and rolls is a difficult process. But if you still haven’t changed your mind and are determined to make sushi yourself, then let’s get started.

What ingredients are needed to make rolls and sushi:How to cook rice for rolls and sushi in a slow cooker

Rice https://greenelly.com/ 2 cups
Water 3 glasses
Sugar 2 tsp.
Rice vinegar 4 tbsp.
Salt 0.5 tsp.

Recipe:

Step 1: Rinse the rice well until the water runs clear, I rinse the rice at least 4-6 times. After washing the rice, you can soak it for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2. Place rice in the multicooker bowl and fill it with water. Close the lid and set the “Rice, buckwheat” mode (I have a Philips multicooker). The program turns off the multicooker automatically when the water boils away, which is convenient. Cooking rice takes 30 to 40 minutes. Do not open the lid before the sound signal.
Step 3: While the rice is cooking, you can prepare the marinade. To do this, mix warm rice vinegar, sugar and salt.
Step 4. Mix the rice with the marinade, stirring very carefully. Cool the rice until slightly warm and you can start preparing sushi and rolls, wetting your hands in rice vinegar or warm water in the process.

Happy cooking!
